When I first attended a week-long painting-study camp, my daughter was still a kid. She often came with me and she was drawing, painting and we discussed the day's happenings at the evenings. I soon realized that painting is so much fun for kids as well and also, it has several benefits.

When your kid attends our painting party, it enhances her cognitive skills, just like problem-solving, critical thinking and helps them to stay focused and patient. It's suprising, how those kids who can't concentrate on a thing for a longer time can paint even for hours.

Even though I predrawn the canvas for everyone, participants has the possibility to express their feelings through painting, even if they can not find the exact words (it happens quite often with kids). Painting helps to relieve stress, to express emotions and to heal our souls.

The positive feedback that you get redeem self- esteem, encourages self-confidences which can resonate with various fields of our life.

So many grown ups start the class with apologizing that they can't draw-that's okay. You come here to have fun not to create an exhibition piece to the Louvre...

Painting has various great effects on motorical skills, just like precision and coordination, hand-eye coordination, so it is a great choice for kids who has started school. 6-7 year old kids are advised to come with their mom or dad at first time and to paint together. In this case the parent can encourage the kid, let her paint untill she really enjoys it and later take bigger role when the kid gets tired. It's a safe way to check if next time she can do it alone or it's better to work together. At our painting parties there is usually an option to paint together on one 40x50 cm canvas ( that is parent-child option).

Kids have a sparking imagination which gives them extraordinary ideas. At our painting parties we are open for those, they can use different colors then it's on the reference picture, sometimes we use glitter, fluorescent paint, even 3D objects to stick on the canvas, so everybody's painting gets really special. At the end of the event everybody is really-really proud of the created painting and the joy of self-expression and creative process is unforgettable.
